Works Night Out!

Hey guys, so as I said in my last blog post I went out to my works christmas party on Tuesday, I work in a bar hence why we have out christmas party in January, madness I know! So we all ended up going to where we work for pre drinks before going to All Star Bowling in the Great Northern in Manchester, if you haven’t been you should most definitely go, its so much fun! As you can imagine it was very messy, most of us were drunk before the bowling even began, let alone by the end. However can you believe it, I won out of my team?! I did have the sides up but shhh.. How good am I!! Haha! I was so completely drunk that I went home after bowling.. (oh dear); note to self – never go out drinking on an empty stomach again, rookie mistake right there.

So anyway I thought I would show my process to get ready for the evening! Here you go –

HAIR

So I recently bought some clip in extensions because I wanted my hair to look thicker and longer but when I had them in they had no shape to them whatsoever so I found a hairdressers that cuts extensions and I had them cut Tuesday morning. The girl cut them really well and they look really natural in, which is what I was initially hoping for.

So for our works do I wanted to have big bouncy waves in my hair so it looked full bodied and like I’d just had it blown out at the hairdressers. My hair had already been washed and dried that morning so I used a spray bottle of water to dampen my hair before blowdrying with my ProBlo’s. I have used my ProBlo’s around a dozen times now and I seem to of got the hang of it, they are such a genius idea and are so much easier to use than the generic roller. I kept them in for around 1-2 hours while I was doing my makeup and sorting my outfit and when I took them out I was really pleased with the result. My hair looked really full and had bouncy waves which is what I was aiming for. I was quite surprised at how well they worked on extensions as well as my own hair. I would definitely recommend buying a set of them!

MAKEUP

Okay so I’m not going to list every single product I used to achieve my makeup look the other night however I did want to show you guys my eyeshadow. I am absolutely terrible at eyeshadow but recently I’ve been trying to make more of an effort into learning how to apply it well. I have these amazing pigmented colour eyeshadeows from Bare Minerals which I used to achieve this look, I also followed a beauty vloggers video to guide me through the process. Check her out – HERE

I was really pleased with the final look, it may have taken me around 30 mins to achieve my eye makeup but with practice I’m sure I will get better. However I do highly recommend you all check out the pigmented eyeshadow. I received mine in a gift set for christmas but I’m sure you can buy singular colours on the official website. They are very easy to use and blend really well.

OUTFIT

So onto the fun part, the outfit! The dress code was smart casual so I went for a pair of skinny black jeans, teamed up with a grey eyelet long sleeved top. I didn’t wear any sort of necklace as I felt the top has enough detailing around the chest area without adding another accessory. I wore this with a black blazer jacket I bought from Primark, Black boots from Zara and also my Mulberry clutch. I really liked my outfit choice for the night, it was comfortable yet I looked smart enough for the occasion. This could easily be taken into a day outfit by wearing a more casual jacket and flats. Its so versatile, I love it!
